According to incomplete statistics, the Central Highlands has about 5,000 hectares of passion fruit. Ngoc Hoi District (Kon Tum), although passion fruit tree has not been included in the development plan, but by mid-2017, the area has more than 80ha.

At the end of 2017, the first batch of passion fruit was exported to the EU. Shortly thereafter, MARD and Son La Provincial People's Committee organized the construction of a passion fruit processing factory and export vegetables and fruits invested by Nafoods Group. Up to now, the total passionate area of ​​Son La province is 523ha, the output is estimated at 3,165 tons. It is expected that in 2018 the province will export about 500 tons of passion fruit to China. This number will increase to 550 tons in 2019 and about 600 tons by 2020.

Previously, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee agreed to allow Nafoods Group to invest in the citrus material area of ​​3,000 ha (by 2025), in which the area of ​​farmers was 1,300 ha. The PPC also approved 3 projects to promote passion fruit development.

Before this information, people "feverish" because passion is also understandable. But relatives also need to understand that not every business can reach. In 2017, Mr. Lo Xuan Ho in Chieng Khay commune, Quynh Nhai district (Son La) also planted passion fruit with the ambition to supply Nafoods. But because he was far from the factory, the number was not large enough for the company to buy, so he had to find the consumer market himself.
